Wisconsinites have raised the bar again with a record amount of medications.

prescription drugsDuring the statewide “Drug Take Back Day” medications were collected at various take back events which included various locations in Marinette County.

Marinette County Sheriff, Jerry Sauve says they collected 500-hundred pounds of pharmaceuticals in just one day.

The state Justice Department said Monday that 66-thousand-39 pounds of medications were collected at various "Take Back" events and more than 300 permanent drug collection sites on April 29th.

The previous record was almost 64-thousand-250 pounds on a similar day last spring.
