WALLEYE ON DISPLAY AT SPIES LIBRARY

Baycities Fish

During the month of December, the Spies Public Library will be exhibiting 26 painted walleye in the Library Art Gallery. The walleye fish were sold by Rusty’s Antique Mall last summer to commemorate the Cabela’s Walleye Fishing Tournament in Marinette. The walleye were cut from mild steel, by Wildlife Décor. Local businesses and community members purchased the walleye and had them painted. The painted walleye were displayed throughout the Marinette/Menominee during the Walleye Tournament in August. Pictured above is the fish designed by our own "Stephanie Edge" for Bay Citites Radio that took 2nd place in the business division.  A reception for the Painted Walleye Exhibit will be held on Tuesday, December 12th from 4:00-5:30 PM. Refreshments will be served.
