The Tri-City Area United Way Board of Directors will begin a search for a new executive director after accepting the resignation of Jean Stegeman, who is currently serving in the role. The board says Stegeman cited her desire to pursue personal interests as one of the reasons in her decision to resign. She will remain with the organization until Nov. 15 to ensure a smooth transitioning of duties. The Tri-City Area United Way recently kicked off its 2018 fundraising campaign. Stegeman, who also serves as the Mayor of Menominee, took the United Way position earlier this year. She announced at this month’s Council meeting she would be serving out the remainder of her term through 2019.
