It looks as though Menominee County is taking the steps necessary to find the right fit for the County Administrator Position. At yesterday’s Menominee County Personnel Committee meeting the committee heard from various county employees and board members as to how it’s internally affecting Administrative Assistant Sherry DuPont. Recently Dupont addressed the County with an offer to step in as Interim Administrator until the board could decide their next course of action. Commissioner Bernie Lang says it seems as though each commissioner has their own agenda.
Lang says they should accept Sherry’s proposal in total, establish a wage, and hire a search firm to initiate the hiring process of the administrator.
After much discussion, the committee agreed to forward to the county board a motion to propose the hiring of Sherry as interim administrator and the hiring of an outside firm to search for a County Administrator.
