One of Wisconsin’s 72 Counties joins Marinette County in opposing the Back Forty Mine.

The Brown County Board voted against the proposed sulfide mine with a vote of 21 to zero with two abstentions and three absences. Next week Tuesday, June 27th at nine a.m. the Door County Board of Supervisors will be addressing the Back Forty Mine.

The Marinette County Chairman of the board urges the Board to reach out to Brown County regarding the Back Forty Mine.

At last week’s Marinette County Board Meeting, County Board Chairman Mark Anderson updated the board regarding the Brown County Board picking up the resolution regarding the opposition of the Back Forty Mine. Anderson says, he attended a land conservation meeting in Brown County in May

The Brown County Board will be meeting this Wednesday, June 7th at 6pm
