Landowners in Marinette County who would like to play a key role in wildlife management are urged to check out Snapshot Wisconsin. The Snapshot Wisconsin project is a citizen science effort to capture images of all types of wildlife.
This project is led by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources staff in partnership with the University of Wisconsin – Madison and the UW-Extension. Snapshot Wisconsin offers an opportunity to view wildlife in their normal routines, in the wild, and data collected will help researchers better understand Wisconsin’s ecological landscapes.
To qualify, you must have access to at least ten acres of private land in Marinette County. For more information on how to sign up simply visit http://dnr.wi.gov/topic/research/projects/snapshot/
