Last month the City of Marinette attended the County Board of Supervisors meeting with the hopes that the County would join in the effort to help with the remaining one point five million dollars needed for the new Sports and Events Center. This request was moved to the County’s Finance Committee, after many supervisors raised concerns about how it would benefit the County as a whole. While these grant applications were approved, concerns over another proposed grant application to improve Duby Park was heard with dismay. Menominee Manager, Tony Graff, urged the council to consider the grant for Duby Park.
