The Wisconsin County Deer Advisory Council is holding their public meeting tonight at the Crivitz Village Hall in Crivitz from 7pm until 9pm. The DNR holds these meetings every Spring throughout Wisconsin. Big Game Ecologist for the Wisconsin DNR, Kevin Wallenfang says the council will be covering various topics this evening. Happy Pi Day!

Einstein PI Day

What is Pi Day?

It's celebrated on March 14th, in honor of the number itself, which is rounded up to about 3.14159.

Pi Numbers

If you're bad a math, like me, what is Pi?

Pi is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. It's rounded up because the actual ratio has been calculated to over one trillion digits beyond the decimal point (yikes, that's a lot of numbers). The symbol for Pi (π) was first used in 1737 by Swiss mathematician Leonhard Euler.

Anyone else really wanting some Pi(e) right now?
